About the region
The Delle Venezie DOC covers Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the province of Trento in northeastern Italy, between the Dolomites, Lake Garda and the Adriatic. It is an appellation centred on Pinot Grigio: wine labelled with the grape must contain at least 85% of it. The climate is cool, with steady air movement and wide day-night temperature swings. Besides still white, it allows spumante, frizzante and rosato or ramato versions.
