About the grape

Merlot is a red grape from Bordeaux, the most planted in that region, especially on the Right Bank: Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. It ripens earlier than Cabernet Sauvignon and makes wines with soft tannins and plum and cherry aromas; it is also grown in Chile, Italy and California.
