Maule Valley
Chile
The Maule Valley is the southernmost subregion of the Central Valley DO and Chile's largest winegrowing region, covering Talca province (except the commune of Río Claro), Linares province and the commune of Cauquenes, with the Claro, Loncomilla and Tutuvén valley zones. The climate is Mediterranean, with cold Andean winds at night. Cabernet Sauvignon is the most planted grape, followed by País, alongside old dry-farmed vineyards and Carignan.
