Pinot Grigio, or Pinot Gris in France, is a pink-skinned mutation of Pinot Noir. In northeastern Italy, especially in the Delle Venezie DOC, it makes light, fresh whites with lively acidity; in Alsace, as Pinot Gris, fuller-bodied wines.
