About the grape
Sangiovese is Italy's most planted red grape and the basis of Tuscany's great reds: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. It makes wines with high acidity, firm tannins and aromas of sour cherry, dried tomato and herbs.
