Intense ruby. Red fruit, spice and a touch of vanilla; broad and generous on the palate, fresh, with a persistent finish.

Sicily

Italy

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean, just off the toe of the Italian boot, with Palermo as its capital. Its climate is warm, though the slopes of Mount Etna are cooler. Its signature grapes are red Nero d'Avola and white Grillo, one of the grapes of Marsala. The Sicilia DOC covers the whole island, which also has one DOCG, Cerasuolo di Vittoria.
