Casablanca Valley
Chile
The Casablanca Valley lies in Chile's Valparaíso Region, west of Santiago, and its boundary matches the commune of the same name. It is a cool-climate valley shaped by the Pacific's maritime influence, which brings cool morning fog, and its soils are old granitic clays. It is one of Chile's leading white wine areas, above all for Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, and also grows Pinot Noir. Its labels may carry the term Costa.
