Umbria

Italy

Umbria lies in central Italy, in the Apennines north of Rome and east of Tuscany. In the province of Perugia, the hills of Montefalco have vineyards at 220 to 472 m and a Mediterranean-subcontinental climate, with warm summers and cold winters. Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG is 100% Sagrantino, dry or passito; Montefalco Rosso DOC blends Sangiovese with 10 to 25% Sagrantino.
